Daughters: Q&A with co-directors, hosted by We Are Parable 11 June 2024

Thank you so, so much to @weareparable for this event. The whole event was incredible, from the screening, the Q&A and the after party with loads of opportunity to network and chat about such an incredible, emotional, heartbreaking and heartwarming documentary, and also had touches of humour too. Everyone should see.

I had not realised that there is such a cruel and toxic prison system in Washington DC. How dehumanising, and the barriers it creates between families. It is handled so well and responsibly by the brilliant co-directors Natalie Rae and Angela Patton.

Reforming the American prison system is eloquently and gently told.

We see the challenges and experiences from both sides, the dads in prison and the daughters that are affected by being separated from their dads and how heartbreaking it is for them not being able to see or get close to each other.
