Ford Unveils Plug-in Hybrids Ahead of All-Electric SUV Launch - Is This Its Game Plan?

Let's be honest: Ford hasn't (to date at least) been all that interested in electric vehicles. It's ignored its Ford Focus electric, not really tried to sell any type of plug-in car, and focused instead on its ecoBoost branded engines for pickups, cars, and SUVs.

This week in Europe, ahead of the launch of its first mysterious Mustang-inspired electric SUV, Ford revealed a trio of new plug-in models as well as teased a photo of its upcoming 2021 all-electric Transit van. 
But is this all that Ford's electrification strategy is? Is it enough? And will all those plug-in hybrids actually help people make the switch to electric?
