This summer, a small team traveled to Myanmar, spending most of our time in and around Yangon. Myanmar has endured years of civil war, and more recently, a devastating earthquake that has displaced countless families. The suffering is constant and visible. And yet, in the middle of it, God was already there, quietly at work. We simply followed His invitation to go and serve.

Before COVID and before the civil war intensified about five years ago, we met a local pastor who had a heart for displaced Myanmar children. His vision was simple and courageous. Give children who have lost everything a safe place to learn, to be protected, and to know Jesus. He started a small schoolhouse made of bamboo a year ago. This year, we returned to reconnect, to listen, and to discern what God may be asking us to do next. God put on our hearts that we should help build a permanent school for these vulnerable children and youth, just as we did in San Telmo. By doing so, we will change the trajectory of their lives.
