Dynasty Warriors 8 (Wei) Battle of Wan Castle Star Guide (English)

In this guide I'll be showing how to get the 2 stars in the stage; Battle of Wan Castle- Rescuing Cao Ang and Cao Anmin & also help Dian Wei survive.

If you for whatever reason you do not have speakers / sound. Read here.
1. You could simply follow exactly what the game play is showing, (I'll add annotations)
or 2. I suggest playing as Dian Wei to help prevent his death. Complete all missions. To help with the room with the fire statues, try to jump attack them to deal with them quickly. Continue to complete missions, once you make into the wind blowing trap, be sure to walk the trail. The wind blows you much harder if you're on a horse. Once you make it to the end of the trail and the gate opens, begin saving the 2 generals to the north. Once you've saved them, be sure to defeat any and all generals in the castle before exiting. For some reason, if you don't Dian Wei will die at the end. So be sure to defeat everyone including the Unit Commanders. Once they're saved and you exit the castle a video will play of Dian Wei protecting Cao Cao, you will ALWAYS be hit with arrows, there's no avoiding that scene. Don't worry though! If you defeated all the generals you wont be dying in the end. So at this point, you've achieved the stars already, now lets complete the stage. Defeat any visible generals in the area to get the events to go by faster. Then cross the bridge and do the same. Once done, head into the 3 garrisons to the west and start the ambushes sooner so your army can take position for their own ambush. Once you counter the enemy ambush, head North West and defeat the necessary officers and end the stage. Congratulations! You've attained your 2 stars!Follow me on Twitter!   / jerzeebro
