"Erzulie Malade" by Werner Jaegerhuber

Erzulie Malade is a song by Haitian composer Werner Jaegerhuber (1900-1953) based on Haitian folk songs. Erzulie is a Vodou spirit - truly, a group of Vodou spirits - representing love and motherhood. The song is a lament or prayer to her.

Featuring Jennifer Leckie, violin; Seth Van Embden, viola; Tom Clowes, cello; Miyu Morita, sound; and Aidan Kranz, cinematography.
