The IJN Yamato is one of the oldest battleships in the game. It is a T10 sniper that was actually built in real life but never really had the chance to have an impact, since the Ally forces feared its combat capabilities and sunk it before it could fire a salvo. In Blitz, this ship is the pinnacle of the japanese BB line and gets access to Precise Aim 2. It has great guns that hit hard, have very good range and are fairly accurate. The main downside is it does not have the best tanking capabilities and CVs sometimes exploit it a lot.

The ARP Yamato is the premium counterpart, alongside Blk Yamato. Both premium versions are an upgrade, the blk version for the extra range and faster reload its skills provide, and the ARP version for its Graviton Cannon, which reduces speed but gives better range and turret traverse. Also, the camo is already included.

Yamato (Japanese: 大和, named after the ancient Yamato Province) was the lead ship of her class of battleships built for the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) shortly before World War II. She and her sister ship, Musashi, were the heaviest and most powerfully armed battleships ever constructed, displacing nearly 72,000 tonnes (71,000 long tons) at full load and armed with nine 46 cm (18.1 in) Type 94 main guns, which were the largest guns ever mounted on a warship.
