What does coffee from Tanzania taste like? Shade grown coffee

Welcome to my first review of 2021: Tanzania from Elton Farm.

This coffee is an amazing organic mix of two varieties: Kent and Bourbon and grown in the shade of Banana trees, Macadamias and Legumes this coffee creates a super intense and sweet drink.

Tanzania is the 13th largest country in Africa located on the Eastern seaboard. With the Indian Ocean to its right and landlocking Burundi and Rwanda on its left, Tanzania has had a long-standing history with coffee but not in the way that you might expect.

Coffee was introduced in the 1500s but growing was restricted to only certain tribes in the north such as the Haya Tribe.

However, they didn't drink the coffee, they actually just boiled the beans and added some spices and herbs and created a type of chewing stimulant.

It wasn't until much later that the restrictions were relaxed and people could grow coffee everywhere.
