Fire breaks out at a cardboard storage unit in SIDCO Industrial Area, Lasipora, on Wednesday afternoon. Fire and Emergency Services received a call at around 1:25 pm, following which fire tenders from Lasipora, Rajpora, Keegam, and Pulwama rushed to the spot. Officials said the fire was brought under control in time and there was no cause for panic. Valley Fresh Cold Chain Managing Director said the unit was being used to store growers’ produce due to space constraints, adding that nearly 3 lakh cartons were damaged, with welding work suspected to be the cause.
