While the video is short the process took next to an hour to dig around the tree and find this large truffle. They tend to grow on and around the tree roots however this does not make it easy to find them.

Once the truffle dog 'Willow' moves through the rows of the French oak trees, she marks the spots where she has detected the distinct aroma of black winter truffles. Using her paws, she identifies the truffles buried beneath the soil. We then place a marker, such as a spoon or stake, to indicate where the dog has signaled. Later, we return to these marked spots with our digging tools, ready for a careful and patient harvest. Sometimes the truffles are found within minutes, while other times, they require more effort and meticulous digging to uncover the prized "black gold."
