France marks Bastille Day

The Olympic Flame will also make its appearance at the parade, escorted by the riders of the Cadre Noir of Saumur along the Avenue Foch down to the presidential stand.

Bastille Day commemorates the date of the storming of the Bastille in 1789, during the earliest stages of the French revolution.
