Hi guys, this is my first time talking to a camera so excuse the unprofessionalism here. Lots of words could have been cut for sure. To save your time I made some chapters for you to jump to. However, I think classical music is a delicate subject and needs a bit more space for words and descriptive language than other music.

Let me know below, if you have experience with those or other headphones. For example: Have you compared one of them to the Apple Airpods Max or Bose 700 or Sony XM5?
Do you want me to compare the sound experience of some of my other headphones to the Bathys?

Script:

Bang&Olufsen H95: This one is nice. It feels quite neutral, with a certain warmth, richness and its quite direct. Instruments seem close/near by. Character is nice, clear but not too sharp. Cello and Double bass get a bit support. Almost a bit too much maybe? Feels like a smaller room - theyre always more bassy than bigger halls.
Bowers&Wilkins PX8: After 10 seconds I am shocked every time. The violins sound so harsh and tin canny. It actually hurts my ear even in lower frequencies. Listening to electronic music is super fun, movies like Interestellar also come through great - but classical music? ORchestra, Chamber music, solo string players? Not my cup of tea!
Focal Bathys:
This is something completely else. If I have them on, it feels/shounds like I’m in a different room. Its a much bigger „sound stage“ - I picked this term up in reviews - at least it actually sounds like musicians on a stage. They’re further away, still everything is super clear and detailed. But the annoying thing about string instruments is how they sound if you sit really close to them. This sawtooth soundwave can really get annoying and the Bathys do something with them that they get this silky touch that a good hall with beautiful resonance and clarity would give them. Its not like they add reverb or anything, they just make it fun to listen to the high frequencies and give them a silky or velvety touch - SO MUCH FUN! Still theres a lot of bass, but in a more transparent and less insisting way.
