Revived Afghan peace talks have hit their first roadblock - just a day after they were announced by the US and Taliban.
But Lieutenant Colonel Anthony Shaffer, a former intelligence officer who went under cover in Afghanistan in 2003 and 2004, spoke to Al Jazeera about Pakistan's role in Taliban's peace talks.

He says Pakistan has not been included in the Afghan peace process, and no deal will survive without their support.
