A few days ago, 30-year-old techie Ragupathy Kandasamy from Coimbatore died when his motorcycle crashed into an illegal political hoarding on the road. When he fell down, a truck ran over him leading to his death. Even though incidents of deaths or injuries due to illegal hoardings have become commonplace, little action is being taken by the administration or the cities’ municipal corporations against the culprits, particularly the political parties.
