House of Sri Sri Sarada Ma

The house was named the Udbodhan House, after the Bengali monthly magazine published by the Ramakrishna Math. The house, also known as Mayerbari (“Holy Mother's House”), is where she spent the longest period of her life outside Jayrambati. Sarada Devi went to Calcutta because she had many hardships in Kamarpukur.Started in 1899 and later moved to its present home in the year 1908, this centre is also known as Mother's House since it served as the residence of the Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi whenever she visited Kolkata.

James Pricep Mausoleum

Prinsep Ghat is a ghat built in 1841 during the British Raj, along the Kolkata bank of the Hooghly River in India. The Palladian porch in the memory of the eminent Anglo-Indian scholar and antiquary James Prinsep was designed by W. Fitzgerald and constructed in 1843.Princep Ghat, located on the banks of River Hooghly, is a majestic structure famous for its Greek/ Gothic inlays. The beauty of Princep Ghat draws architecture and history buffs in large numbers. It was built in the year 1841, during the British Raj in India.

Eden Park

The entrance to the Eden Gardens, one of the oldest parks of Kolkata which came into existence around 1842. The cricket stadium named after the park, which would eventually eclipse the park’s fame, was built in 1864.This pagoda was built in Prome in Myanmar, then known as Burma, as a specimen of Tazoungs architecture.A fountain inside the garden, which is now managed by the West Bengal forest department.

Elliot Park

Spread across a total area of about 90,000 square feet, Elliot Park in Kolkata is a popular park among youngsters. It is also a famous spot for morning walkers and joggers of nearby residential areas. The park has a jogging strip that stretches over 1.5 kilometers land on which Elliot Park is built used to be a garbage dump site until a few years back and had become an eyesore for the nearby residents. The initiative of building a park at this site was taken up by Tata Steel.
The park was inaugurated on 22nd November 2004 by Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, the then Chief Minister of West Bengal.

There are two man made ponds inside the premises and the entire park is lined with huge ornamental trees and rows of bamboo trees along with provisions for sitting. One can spot fishes in the ponds too.
The park ambience is quite relaxing and one can spend some alone time if needed. It needs to be noted that the park being designated as no- plastic zone, visitors are not allowed to carry plastic bags or food items inside.

Due to its timings, the park is best visited during winter months while the weather is pleasant. One may also visit during the monsoon months when there are lighter showers or relatively clear skies.

The park is located opposite the Tata Steel Office, which is also called the Tata Centre near Park Street Crossing on Chowringhee.

St. Paul Cathedral

This Anglican cathedral is a cultural and architectural landmark in Kolkata. It's one of India's largest and oldest churches, and features Indo-Gothic architecture with a pointed spire. The cathedral also has:

Rabindra Sarovar Lake

Rabindra Sarobar (formerly known as Dhakuria Lake) is an artificial lake, garden and park in South Kolkata in the Indian state of West Bengal. The name also refers to the area surrounding the lake. It is flanked by Southern Avenue to the north, Shyamaprasad Mukherjee Road to the west, Dhakuria to the east and the Kolkata Suburban Railway tracks to the south.
Today the lake and its surrounding areas are one of the most popular recreational areas in Kolkata. 73 acres (300,000 m2) are covered by water, while shrubs and trees, some of which are more than 100 years old, occupy the rest of the area. A partial tree census in 2012 recorded 50 different species. In the winter, one can spot some migratory birds around the lake, though the numbers are dwindling because of the rise in pollution level. The lake itself is home to many varieties of fish. Fishing is strictly prohibited. A number of people come for a walk around the lake in the mornings to enjoy the fresh air. Many visit the sunrise point to offer their prayers to the sun. During the day, it is visited by families on a picnic, tourists, young lovers and joggers.
