Tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have sharply escalated following cross-border attacks. Pakistan claims that in its “Operation Gazab-Lil Haq,” 274 Taliban fighters were killed and 73 military posts destroyed. The Taliban says its attack was retaliation for earlier Pakistani airstrikes in Nangarhar and Paktia. Afghanistan has reportedly formed a “suicide squad” to counter Pakistani forces, while both sides accuse each other of aggression.
Amid rising violence, China has urged both nations to resolve the crisis through dialogue, while India condemned Pakistan’s airstrikes. Meanwhile, China has advised its citizens to leave Iran due to growing US-Iran tensions.
On the diplomatic front, Pakistani Prime Minister শাহবাজ শরিফ has expressed interest in visiting Dhaka to meet Bangladesh’s Prime Minister তারেক রহমান, signaling potential diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
