Method 1. CMD
It saves time and effort, especially in avoiding the cumbersome clicking steps. And we need to use a program called “xcopy” which is a program designed to copy files and directories in a command prompt.
1. Type “cmd” into the search box, then right-click on it and select “Run as administrator”.
2. Type xcopy c:\ f:\ /s /e /h /i /c /y , this means to copy all the files and subdirectories from drive C to drive F. We can change the drive letters according to our own needs and then press Enter.
Just wait for the process to be done. And Exit Command Prompt.


Method 2. AOMEI Backupper
With AOMEI Backupper we could choose to run the cloning process in its GUI utility and also in the command prompt. Let’s see the details.
For the CMD, we can
1. Come to CMD and Type cd C:\Program Files (x86)\AOMEI Backupper, here C drive is the installation directory and press Enter.
2. Here I choose disk 1 and disk 2 as examples. If you are not sure about the number of your disk please run AMBackup /l to list disks and partitions on your computer. Type AMBackup /c /t Disk /s 1 /d 2, if the destination disk is an SSD, add “/a” after the command, like this, it will use partition alignment to optimize for SSD.
Finally, press Enter to clone all the contents from disk 1 to disk 2.
It will be finished later.
For the GUI utility, just run AOMEI Backupper, then select “Clone” at its homepage, and select “Disk Clone”, then choose the source disk and target disk, finally click “Start Clone”.
