Welcome to Police Bay - Police Bay is a beautiful bay that is well worth a visit, with coral formations, white sand and lush vegetation in close proximity. Police Bay is the larger sister beach to Petite Police, which is located on the southernmost coast of Mahé. The sea is deep and rough, and not very suitable for swimming. The wild natural scenery here contrasts with the calm and gentle atmosphere elsewhere in the Seychelles, but provides a welcome change from the "traditional" Seychelles experience. Getting to Police Bay is easy by car, with parking available at Petite Police. Alternatively, you can take the bus to the stop at Anse Bazarca. Police Bay is not suitable for swimming due to the deep, rough water, but the conditions are ideal for surfing.
Petite Police Beach is located on the southernmost tip of the largest Seychelles island, Mahé, just off the coast from its larger sister, Police Bay. The beach here is lined with old coral formations that somewhat cover the sand, creating a unique spectacle, but making the beach itself unsuitable for children as the coral can be sharp. This fact, combined with the deep water that washes the shores of the beach, means that Petite Police is often empty.
