February 24, 2021: Through an Illinois Corn Marketing Board and Illinois Soybean Association checkoff program collaboration, PCM is expanding to more areas in the state. This gives farmers and agronomists an opportunity to work with this program and implement conservation practices. Join PCM Specialist Clay Bess as he shares lessons from the field and how the program helps farmers at a practical level. He also will provide tips on how to expand conservation practices on your farm that work for the environment, customers and a farmer’s bottom line.

CLAY BESS, Precision Conservation Management | Clay Bess is the Lead Specialist for Precision Conservation Management (PCM) and is based out of east-central Illinois. Through his role with PCM Clay works to support Illinois farmers in implementing data-driven conservation practices and scaling their sustainable outcomes. Clay works with various partners to improve environmental outcomes and advance sustainable solutions for farmers throughout our value chain. In 2020 Clay was featured as part of Field to Market’s 2020 Trusted Adviser Spotlight series. Clay was raised in Paris, Ill., and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a degree in conservation biology.
