New Covent Garden Flower Market is the UK's biggest flower market and supplies 75% of all London florists. London’s bloom stores were first transplanted from their central Covent Garden home across the river in 1965. Its original home had been a centre of trade since Roman times. In April 2017 it reopened at a new Nine Elms site that is set to serve tradesmen for the next five years – who will then move back to a permanent home at the front of the new market in 2022.
