Here’s some straight pop rock for you from the year two thousand and one, “The Middle” by Jimmy Eat World. Simple changes, hopeful message, and a rippin’ guitar solo. Pretty good way to start a Sunday if you’re getting yourself psyched to go shovel some snow, or perhaps play some video games if you’re Reina.

In other news, we’re getting ready to hit the road again for most of the next few months! Oh, p.s., a quick update!

GEAR. I get tons of gear questions from YouTubers and I'm going to start including descriptions of what tools we use to make our videos so people can try out some of these things for themselves. I know there are so many options out there it's almost overwhelming at first, so hopefully this helps in some way. Including links to the products on Amazon, but most of these are available on any online retailer or brick and mortar gear stores.

AUDIO: We used a Zoom H6 recorder to capture all the audio that you're hearing here. You can see its two stereo XY mics peaking out at the bottom of the frame. The Zoom is portable, powerful, user-friendly, and it's quickly becoming the only thing I use for recording audio on the road or at home, just because it's hassle free and takes 30 seconds to set up for a take. You can attach other mics to the Zoom H6 (which we do in other videos with more players involved so we can mic each instrument), but here we're just using the one XY attachment that comes with the Zoom to capture our guitars and vocals in stereo.
