Assisting the Grande San Paolo from her berth to the lock.

This time i cut out more RAW video to have a shorter final result, because the previous movies were a bit long/large for mobile users :)

00:41 : Heaving line thrown on the deck, and going up.
01:30 : Winching out Towing Cable
01:51 : Confirmation that towing cable is secure
02:05 : Winching out towing cable to the desired length
02:31 to 09:00 : Swinging manoevre (180° turn)
09:30 : In the ships propellerwash ( engine slow ahead)
10:25 : Indirect assist to make a 90° turn
11:51 : Entering the lock
12:22 : Stopping the ship to 0 knots. The ship went past it's mark by a few meters because we didn't have enough stoppingpower. The ship had a positive pitch propeller* which caused this.
14:52 : Winching in towing cable
15:25 : Propellerwash from the positive pitch pushed the tug to the starboard (tug point of view)
16:03 : Leaving the lock heading for the berth
16:50 : Turning 180° in order to moore at the quay

Positive Pitch : This means that the ships propeller keeps turning with a little bit of forward propulsion, even when the pitch is set at zero. This caused the ship to overshoot a couple of meters before the tug was able to stop it.
