In this video, I'm setting up my PS5 Pro to be able to livestream at 4K 50 FPS to Twitch, Kick, and Youtube using the Elgato 4K X game capture card. I will be unboxing the new Elgato 4K X and the Anker Certified Thunderbolt 5 data transfer cable. Also, I will do a physical comparison of the Elgato 4K X game capture card vs the Elgato HD60 X game capture card. Also I will be providing gameplay footage from various games to showcase the footage captured by the Elgato 4K X at 4K 50 FPS and the Elgato HD60 X at 1080P 60 FPS.

Before anything, you will need to configure the Elgato game capture cards to be able to listen to the analog audio input of the Elgato Chat Link Pro. By default, the Elgato game capture cards audio is set to HDMI audio. In order to use a wireless headset with the streaming set up, you will need to use the Elgato Chat Link Pro.

You will need to go to the Elgato website and download the Capture Device Utility for Mac or 4K Capture Utility on Windows. Connect the Elgato game capture card to your laptop/PC and start to configure the devices. On Macs running MacOS 14.4 or later you are able to enable the Elgato 4K X as a 10 Gbps device, which brings out the Elgato 4K X to its full potential and higher FPS. By default on Macs, the Elgato 4K X is set as a 5 Gbps device which max resolution is 4K 30 FPS.

The second controller method shown in the previous streaming setup videos for the PS4 Pro & the PS5 Pro, is only good to record gameplay using a wireless headset. This method is not compatible to record and listen to the voice party chat using a secondary guest controller. In order to get the party voice chat to come through while playing and recorded gameplay you will need to connect the Elgato Chat Link Pro to your primary controller that you are playing the game.
