If you're anything like me, you saw the news and articles surrounding Mario Kart Tour at launch, and completely ignored the game because of it. Now that it's been a few years, and with Mario Kart 8 DLC around the corner, I thought I'd check it out finally and see what the fuss is about! I go into the mechanics, the characters and music on offer, as well as the monetization practices! I also point out some mechanics that could genuinely be a great addition to Mario Kart 9.

I've also realized after pouring days into this video that I might convince someone who's vulnerable to the monetization of this game to dip their toes in and get hooked. To that I say: Better this than the anthro horse girl racing game. Go ahead and attribute that quote to me.
