Camino Portugues Coastal Route, Porto-Santiago de Compostela

The Camino Portugues Coastal Route or Caminho da Costa is a stunning alternative route to the inland Camino Portugues. The Camino Portugues from Porto to Santiago de Compostela it's roughly 280 kms long & can be done between 10 to 12 days according to your preference, we took 11 days but it included an extra day in Vigo so that we could visit the world renowned Islas Cies a few kilometres off the coastline from Vigo.
Life's a beach on the Camino Portugues Coastal Route as you can walk endless kilometres along sandy golden beaches, we did the Camino Portugues Coastal Route in September & average temperature was above 30 C & there was very little cover. There are some larger towns like Vila de Conde, Esposende & Viana de Costelo in Portugal & Baiona, Vigo & Pontevedra on the Spanish side & numerous coastal villages. Life's really a beach on the Camino Portugues Coastal Route a truly memorable Camino relatively easy as it has very few hill climbs so that it can be done by most people without the need of a lot of training.
