this was my favorite movie (and book) as a teen and i’ve wanted to vid it for ages. i don’t know if many people have seen it or know about it (especially those born after 2000 lol) – it’s not perfect and definitely not everyone’s cup of tea. it can be hard to watch at times, but something about it stuck with me to this day. i still get goosebumps during the “heroes” scene.

vidding this song felt very old youtube lol but at the same time, i think it’s fitting for their relationship. while they may have cared deeply for each other, their addiction made their relationship doomed from the very start, preventing them from actually doing what was best for the other (though i believe their age plays a role in that as well), and that’s what i was trying to show with this video, especially using parallels. idk they have always been so tragic to me.

of course i’m only basing myself on the characters from the movie, not the real people the adaption was based on.

this is actually the vid i’m most proud! it doesn't have any effect but i don't think the movie needed any.
