Circuit and waveform
circuit diagram consist of
DC source, Switch (transistor),inductor, capacitor, load, diode
output voltage less than input voltage
inductor and capacitor act as a ripple circuit
two mode of operation - switch on and switch off
when switch is on - diode reverse biased, inductor stores energy, source connected to load
when switch is off- source gets disconnected, inductor act as energy source- it release stored energy and act as a current source and will provide current to capacitor and load

source current - Linearly increasing
output voltage- reduced DC voltage
output current- Constant DC current
inductor current- linearly increases during T on and decreases during Toff
inductor voltage- depends on source voltage and output voltage
capacitor current- depends on output current and inductor current
capacitor voltage- charges and discharges depends on capacitor current
