Research and Social Good | UR2PhD Workshop

This workshop is part of the UR2PhD program, a virtual program that aims to increase the number of quality undergraduate research opportunities and to close the gap between a first research experience and a successful PhD application.

This panel discussion features presentations from three researchers:
Areeg Mostafa, a Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota, whose research focuses on roadmapping.
Rukhshan Haroon, a Ph.D. Candidate in Computer Science at Tufts University, whose research focuses on supporting autistic users with text-based communication.
Sumin Heo, a graduating sociology undergraduate student at Wellesley College, whose research focuses on highlighting implications of gender in AI.

The Computing Research Engagement and Awareness Workshop Series is ongoing, and there will be more sessions offered later this spring / summer. We encourage students to register for the series to learn more about computing research, engage with active researchers, and build community with peers in the field.
