Kodak ProImage 100 – A Great Film… When It Was Cheap

In this video, I take a look at Kodak ProImage 100, a warm-toned, fine-grain color negative film that I’ve been shooting for years. It’s a solid choice for bright conditions, but with recent price increases, is it still worth it? At around £60 for five rolls, I’d argue there are better options out there. That said, I might still grab the odd roll for nostalgia’s sake.

Kodak ProImage 100 – What You Need to Know

✅ Good Colors & Fine Grain – Produces rich, warm tones, making it great for summer photography.
✅ Best in Bright Conditions – Rated ISO 100, this film thrives in daylight shooting but struggles in low light.
✅ Affordable… Once Upon a Time – It was a great budget film, but at today’s prices, it’s no longer the bargain it used to be.
✅ Similar to Lomo 100? – There’s ongoing speculation that this might be the same stock as Lomography Color Negative 100, but I’m not convinced.
✅ Heat Resistance? – Some sources claim ProImage 100 can handle higher storage temperatures than other films, but Kodak’s official data sheet says otherwise—store at your own risk!

Final Thoughts

Kodak ProImage 100 was a fantastic budget film, but with the price increase, it’s harder to justify. If you haven’t shot it before, give it a try and see if you like the look—but there are definitely better deals to be had for color negative film.
