HIGAYON 2.0: A CELEBRATION OF DANCE AND IDENTITY 🕰️🔙💞💃🏽🕺🏽│ Dance, including cultural dance, has emerged as a powerful form of therapy and rehabilitation within the confines of Iligan City Jail-Male Dormitory (ICJMD). As the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) commemorates Community Relations Month, ICJMD’s Dancers Behind Bars—with the enthusiastic participation of its female personnel—is gearing up for an extraordinary dance production.

This upcoming performance—mounted in collaboration with the Iligan City Jail-Female Dormitory—promises to be more than just a display of rhythmic movements. It’s a celebration—an ode to dance itself and the rich cultural tapestry woven by our communities. From traditional folk dances to contemporary expressions, the stage will come alive with stories told through graceful leaps, twirls, and synchronized steps.

As anticipation builds, keep an eye out for this mesmerizing showcase. Soon, the walls of ICJMD will reverberate with the universal language of dance, bridging gaps, healing hearts, and celebrating the resilience of the human spirit.
