Echo Chamber - Interview: In Conversation With Jaron Lockridge about 'The Stix'

Jaron Lockridge has brought 'The Stix' from a popular web series to gripping feature film!

SYNOPSIS
Narcotics investigators (Everett Anderson, Nichole Tate-Jackson, John Dylan Atkins & Jeff Haltom) with a sheriff's office in rural West Tennessee pursue a local kingpin (Darnail Lanton) who's dealing with mutiny within his organization.

CONVERSATION
There are many people who when hit with setbacks, they retreat, they crumble, but that's not Jaron Lockridge!

In 2018 he created a web series, that garnered so much interest and love, it made it to Prime Video, and the appetite for a second season was palpable. Some things just don’t go to plan, and lockdown, plus funding really messed with the roadmap. BUT, it didn't break Jaron or his vision. He rejigged the idea, the concept, and birthed 'The Stix' movie and jumping off point for 'The Stix Universe'!!!

What Jaron is looking to do, well what he’s essentially done, is a testament to vision. And a demonstration you don’t need to be a major studio to bring this scale of storytelling to fruition.

Jaron is all about doing incredible things, but building them within Tennessee and enriching his community.

It was great to converse about frameworks that impact diverse stories. To hear from visual architects who are trying to nourish and empower their communities!
