Welcome back to the Beginner PLC Mega-Project!
In Episode 3, we finally dive into PLC programming and learn the foundations of Ladder Logic (LAD) — the most widely used PLC language in industrial automation.

• How contacts work: Normally Open (NO) vs Normally Closed (NC)
• How coils represent outputs like motors, lamps, valves, and memory bits
• How to build your first Start/Stop motor control rung in Siemens TIA Portal
• How to test your PLC program using PLCSIM simulation

⚙️ Hands-On Project:
We’ll program a conveyor motor with Start and Stop pushbuttons. By the end, you’ll have your first working PLC program — the foundation of every real-world automation system.

📝 Homework (Practice):
• Build an AND logic rung (two pushbuttons in series to turn on a lamp).
• Build an OR logic rung (two pushbuttons in parallel to turn on a lamp).

🚀 Next Episode (Ep.4):
We’ll take this program further by adding latching logic and interlocks, so the motor keeps running after Start is pressed and stops instantly with an Emergency Stop.
