The Williams FW07 (#37) was designed by Patrick Head for the 1979 F1 season. It evolved into the FW07C in 1981 and was driven by Alan Jones and Carlos Reutemann. The Cosworth powered car gave Williams the second constructors' championship in a row.

The Williams FW08 (#66) made it's debut in 1982 at the Belgian Grand Prix in the hands of Keke Rosberg and Derek Daly. Again powered by an Cosworth V8 the FW08 took 5 podiums in the hands of Rosberg.
