Let's Play Castle Adventure (1 of 2)

This is Castle Adventure, a freeware game that some may also know as "Golden Wombat" (a decisively more awesome name) from when it was illegally published by Keypunch Software in 1987. I am going to show off all of the treasures you can get (in striking detail, as you'll see later on) and beat all of the monsters before escaping the castle with the perfect score of 1550.

I am having a bit of a software crisis (nothing I can't handle!) and as such, I am resorting to doing something halfway in between a screenshot let's play and a, you know, regular talky one. I suggest you sit back (turn on annotations if you want to read my comments and pretend this is an actual Let's Play) and enjoy as I play through a childhood favorite of mine.


On another note, this was recorded directly from the program I used to run Castle Adventure, which would be DOSbox, a free x86 emulator. I am a bit of a quality whore, and so it took me a while to fix this up so that you all could read the words at the beginning. You get to see a 1984 computer game in 480p!
