Simple and easy to make chicken dry fry or chicken fry recipe using basic ingredients from your kitchen. Even bachelors and beginners can easily make this chicken fry recipe for lunch and dinner. Serve this with naan, roti, chapati, dinner rolls or rice for a complete meal.

Ingredients
Chicken - 500 g (thigh/drumstick with bone)
Turmeric - 3/4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp (Kitchen King can be used)
Salt - 3/4 tsp (adjust to taste)
Ginger-Garlic paste - 1tbsp (Use 2 tbsp if freshly ground paste is used. For fresh paste, use 1 inch ginger and 5-6 garlic cloves, 2 tbsp water)
Cilantro - 2 tbsp (Coriander leaves)
Mint - 2 tbsp (Pudina leaves)
Onion - 1 (large sized ~ 100 to 150 g), sliced

Oil - 2 tbsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Cilantro - 2 tbsp, for garnish

Step-wise instructions:
1) In a large bowl, add chicken, turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt, coriander, mint, sliced, ginger-garlic paste, and mix well.
2) Let the chicken Marinate for 15 minutes (minimum) to 30 minutes (preferred).
3) Heat oil in a pan on medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and fry for 5 minutes, leaving it undisturbed.
4) After 5 mins, flip the chicken to the other side and continue to fry for another 5 mins.
5) Now, reduce the heat to medium. Give the chicken a stir, cover and cook for 5 mins.
6) Remove the lid, stir the chicken, cover it back, and continue to cook for another 5 mins.
7) Remove the lid again, add butter, garnish with cilantro, give it a final mix, and serve the chicken fry with your favorite roti, naan, rice, etc.
