The Calcutta High Court has revoked several communities' Other Backward Class (OBC) certificates in West Bengal. The court deemed the reservation granted to these communities under the 2012 law as invalid. However, it stated that individuals who have already secured jobs or availed benefits under this category will not be affected by this order. The state's Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, has refused to accept the court's decision.
