Aster Volunteers Expands Its Mobile Medical Services to East Africa

Aster Volunteers Mobile Medical Services (AVMMS) has proudly launched its 64th and 65th Mobile Clinics in Rwanda and Uganda, extending free medical services to the needy and deserving communities in East Africa.

The initiative was flagged off in Dubai by Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman of Aster DM Healthcare, together with partners and supporters. The Rwanda Mobile Clinic will be shipped from Dubai, UAE, while the Uganda Mobile Clinic will be shipped from Kochi, India, marking Aster Volunteers’ growing global presence.

This impactful expansion has been made possible with the support of The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF), chaired by Her Royal Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, along with the Ministries of Health in Rwanda and Uganda, Health Development Initiative (HDI) Rwanda, Mulago National Hospital Kampala, and the extensive network of Aster Hospitals, Clinics and Pharmacies under Aster DM Healthcare.


Each AVMMS unit is designed to deliver essential primary healthcare services with dignity and confidentiality across rural and underserved areas:

Doctor consultations & Tele-Medicine Services with privacy in both units.

High-speed Wi-Fi services enabling seamless telehealth connectivity.

Medicine dispensing facilities for immediate care.

Smart TV-enabled health education for preventive care and training.

Emergency care and disaster management readiness to support communities during crises.


Uganda Mobile Clinic: Features a mini laboratory for diagnostics and essential testing.

Rwanda Mobile Clinic: Fully solar-powered to ensure sustainable operations in remote locations.

Together, these mobile clinics will bridge healthcare gaps, reduce disease burden, and bring compassionate care to the most underserved.

With this milestone, Aster Volunteers continues its mission of delivering “Care Beyond Boundaries,” now impacting millions across India, the Middle East, and Africa through its fleet of mobile clinics and robust healthcare ecosystem.
