Commodore VIC-20 - Catcha Snatcha: Quick gameplay

Описание к видео Commodore VIC-20 - Catcha Snatcha: Quick gameplay

In this VIC-20 game from 1983, busy store detective Barney Bootlace must appease the shop manager by running around the shop floor dealing with various problems, from dealing with lost property and children, to apprehending shoplifters and even dealing with planted bombs!

Barney's success is measured by his manager's approval from 0 to 99%. The approval rises when Barney manages to handle an issue correctly and decreases when he misses something. If 99% is reached, Barney is promoted to the next level (and a higher difficulty) - however, a demotion and a written warning follows directly after falling to 0%. After three warnings the game is over, but one warning is removed for advancing two levels.

Judge for yourself how difficult this original game is, with slow movement and difficult to see symbols….

Catcha Snatcha has since been re-released on Steam in June 2023.

This video was recorded from a working VIC-20 in the UK - not an emulator.
