Phylum Onychophora: Velvet Worms

Continuing through Ecdysozoa and Panarthropoda, we reach Onychophora, or the velvet worms. This is the only completely terrestrial phylum, meaning zero aquatic species. They are small and few, but they have some fascinating behavior, including the adhesive slime they eject to trap and digest prey, as well as scare off predators. Let's get a closer look at them now!
