Saab 9-3 AUTOMATIC Transmission Fluid Change (Aisin 5 Speed) Complete job!!!

Regarding my wife's 2007 Saab 9-3 convertible. Needs the (AUTOMATIC 5 SPEED AISIN) transmission fluid changed for a maintenance item. It's an inexpensive $78 dollar fluid changeout/almost complete flush. Saab Dealer's repair facility wants $325 to do the flush before shop fees and applicable taxes. This is the 5 speed Aisin Transmission. I mention a few times, please use the JWS-3309 Specification fluid and do not use the synthetic version. Drive the car 15-20 minutes and go through all gear ranges to completely mix the new fluid to the old fluid in the torque converter. I've heard the transmissions may not like the synthetic version of 3309 and the shift points will change. I used Toyota T-IV mineral oil based Fluid. This JWS-3309 spec fluid was developed specifically for this transmission. Torque spec for the transmission drain plug is 40 N-m or 30 Ft-lbs. It's best to use a new aluminum washer for the drain plug to avoid leaks. However, if you're feeling lucky, you can try re-using your old Aluminum washer. While on ramps I drained 3.6 quarts out of the transmission sump. You might get another number. Do the measurement when it's 100 percent cold. The fluid expands greatly when heated, so add exactly what you take out. Please do not overfill, if you do so, you will ruin your transmission. Also please note, this video is for entertainment purposes. Disclaimer: Do not try this at home! Working on cars can be very dangerous. All work or repair you do on your car is at your own risk. Please note I safely supported the car using safe ramps and wheel chocks. Do NOT ever work under a car supported with a bumper jack or any other type of jack. Always use jack stands or ideally, use ramps. I show the fluid change as a maintenance item and not to suggest it will solve any transmission problems. Always drain the fluid cold, or barely warm. The fluid splashes and hot fluid will cause severe burns. I did this job over a two day period. TAKE YOUR TIME!!!
