I spoke with the closures team after being on hold for 1 hour! (9AM Monday Morning)..

They confirmed my account was closed on the 18th December. No-ops are now available - meaning my DDebits cancelled and no access to our business funds - I would now need to wait for a letter to fill out a funds release form.

They did confirm the £180,750.00 that I held in the account is on hold but would take the 60 days to reclaim! (At least I now have this on record).

The adviser confirmed I could speed up this process by going to branch and asking the bank to call the closures team (0800 161 5161 - then press 2 - for NW staff) they can then sent the funds release form and my ID to speed this up. (I doubt it will be any quicker).

Overall couldn't tell me anything about section 12.2 (Terms for closing my account) or why they have chosen us to close. Waste of time..
