Improve your Arduino programming skills - Open drain

In this video I explain what open drain is, why it is useful and how to get it to work on an Arduino.

In some situations an open drain output can be very useful. But the Arduino IDE only seems to support pinMode-input and -output. Does this mean that open drain is not possible with the Arduino IDE?
