update July 2020.
in 2017 we fitted Ported cylinder head and new injectors , valve springs and vklr 2060 hybrid.
result - 340hp and approx 450 ft lb. but a lazy spool. bad turbine design unfortunately. but was a used turbo for testing. this ran reliably for approd 20k miles and several track days.

in 2018, we fitted a gtb 2260 vklr hybrid with 52/70 compressor from memory, to run at 44psi. this gave 395hp and 480lb ft , with really good spool. dyno graph on my instagram @xjay1337

this was all mapped built and parts supplied by Bobby Singh who was truly excellent throughout. world class.

this set up proved too much for the stock head gasket of course , would need ARP stud kit (we were running previously 12.9 bolts).

a house purchase meant I couldn't have such a project any more so broke the car for parts and I have had since 2018 a BMW m135i which I prefer in every way over the Scirocco :-)

if I was to do again I would know exactly how to build for a reliable (as much as you can say!) 400 by utilising some different OEM engine internals.

a once in a life time project. over 60,000€ spent on the car and parts over 4 years.
