Right off the bat...no no no..this was never a #1 song for DC5...the art of being a video/music editor in a TV station for 40 years....now happily retired.
Growing up in the 60's in Moose Jaw,we had a ton of 45's (1200).One of them was Dave Clark 5's "You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby" (B-side 'Man In A Pin-Striped Suit).It got played..a lot when we got it brand new.In my 48 years of collecting 60s 70s music performances,I have never seen DC5 perform this song on TV.This video you'll see is the kids dancing to DC5's You've Got What It Takes.Turns out it has the same beat as 'Baby' & has the same big band sound as Dick ironically talks about at the end of the song.Enjoy the groovy beat & Yes You Can Dance To It!
