In this video, I will go over some techniques and tools that can be used to build a flexible leg rig. I wanted to cover some initial concepts with this simplified 3D model before showing how to rig a flat style character's leg.
I'll cover the basics of creating joints, IK Handles, Pole vector constraints. And, show how we can create additional controls to reshape the leg, how to use Set Driven keys to automate controls, and how to create additional attributes for scaling the legs.
