Viewer's Choice Pay-Per-View Promos (June 27, 1999)

Another "thank you" to C. Wallace. And another anniversary to mark, as this posts just before the 25th anniversary of the 1999 King of the Ring, aired June 27, 1999, won by "Mr. Ass" Billy Gunn. Has anyone else mentioned how Billy is now 60 years old, but he's all jacked up like he's in his 20's? I digress.

As for the promo collection, the recording I bought was the live PPV broadcast, with "Free-For-All" included. There are a couple of promos that were captured prior to the "Free-For-All" as well as the Viewer's Choice Special Event intro. The event also ended earlier than usual (before 10:30 pm ET). And, much like with my posting from Backlash 1999, there was a heavy dose of promotion for the encore presentation of King of the Ring. The KOTR promo aired TEN times following the show (none of which you see in this collection, for copyright reasons), with my recording cutting off midway through its 11th airing. Perhaps a checkpoint for critics who like to think the Attitude Era was overrated and overhyped.
