When we arrive in Teslin our plan is to visit the Tlingit Heritage Center.
We’re keen to learn more about the native culture, but our plans are completely changed when we discover that not one, but two of our tires are leaking air simultaneously.

We don’t have a choice, we have to find a tire repair shop and Teslin is just not the right place.
The closest shop that can help us is 180kms away and we only have one spare tire.

Our only option is to replace one of the flat tires with the spare and just keep pumping up the other one until we get to Whitehorse. We’re scratching our head about how could we have the front left and the rear right tire damaged at the same time.
We only find out later, that the flats are due to a combination of several issues and we will have to learn about them in the very near future. This is only the beginning of our tire misery.

Whitehorse is a great city, with vibrant first nations cultural events and lots of opportunities for outdoors activities. It is also a must stop for anyone who want to venture further into the Yukon or maybe Alaska. We will also stock up on all supplies before leaving town. While our tires are being fixed, we have the opportunity to meet Marcus and Julie Tuck, the legendary overlanders who’ve been on the road for 8 years already, and who are also driving an Iveco Daily 4x4.
