2022 Hero Super Splendor 125 Canvas Black Edition - Super Comfort, Mileage, Power ?

Hero Motocorp has expanded its lineup of commuter motorcycles by introducing a new Canvas Black Edition for its popular 125cc commuter, the Super Splendor. As the name suggests, the new edition of the Super Splendor features a special black-based paint scheme. The new Hero Super Splendor Canvas Black Edition is launched in two variants – one with a drum brake at the front and the more-premium variant with a front disc brake. While the front drum brake variant of the Hero Super Splendor Canvas Black Edition is priced at Rs 77,430, the more-premium disc brake variant will set you back by Rs 81,330 (both prices ex-showroom, India). These prices are marginally higher than the standard version of the Super Splendor, which is priced at Rs 77,200 for the drum and Rs 81,100 for the disc variants. The new Canvas Edition for the Hero Super Splendor wears an all-black paint scheme, which is carried out on the entire motorcycle, including the headlamp cowl, front fender, fuel tank, side body panels and pillion grab rails. All these body panels are devoid of any kind of graphics, with the fuel tank featuring 2D logos of ‘Super Splendor’. Apart from this, even the five-spoke alloy wheels, which are available as standard in both the variants of the Super Splendor, are also finished in black. However, the engine here is coated in an all-grey theme. The Hero Super Splendor was launched as a more premium and slightly bigger version of the high-selling 100cc Splendor. In all these years of its existence, the Super Splendor has witnessed several changes to its styling and powertrain. Currently, the Super Splendor employs a four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected, 124.7cc engine developed by Hero Motocorp, which here is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. This engine produces 10.8 PS of maximum power and 10.6 Nm of maximum torque. Both the variants of the Hero Super Splendor Canvas Black Edition, like the regular versions of the motorcycle, get a combined braking system (CBS), side-stand engine cut-off and a USB mobile charger as standard features. With these prices, the Hero Super Splendor Canvas Black Edition competes with other popular 125cc motorcycles like Honda Shine, TVS Raider and Bajaj Pulsar 125. Apart from these motorcycles, it also competes with the entry-level variants of Hero’s own 125cc premium commuter Glamour.
