clarifications:
How does the chart work? it's not very obvious, but it is pretty simple, basically each pixel/cell is one setting, each mode has a 3x6 box representing the 18 settings (since everyone always asks me: the weird gray icon is statue mode, it's hard to work with 6x6 pixel art!!), within a 3x6 box, the rows are speeds and the columns are counts, ordered as they are in game: slow/normal/fast and 1a/3a/5a/10a/dice/bomba
Why is twin not 'hard'? this is basically due to historical conflation between 'hard' modes and 'highscore' modes, since for a long time, all the modes that had varying end scores (ie the score upon getting ALL is not always the same) were also the hardest, except for twin, and so the two notions were sort of tied together. another argument against twin being 'hard' is that a default coil always works to beat twin, provided you have good enough reaction speed
Why no sizes? honestly this restriction is here to make the challenge actually doable, but going for all sizes would be the next logical extension. no combination on any size is entirely theoretically impossible, but the level of difficulty goes from high to astronomical; the luck required to beat wall mode on standard is generally theorized to be on the order of 1 in a million, for instance.
