In this video I explain the science of how happiness makes you smarter. There are numerous studies linking positive (eg happy) mood to intellectual performance. We look at three studies: one suggests that happy mood enhances goal setting and performance, one suggests happy mood enhances learning, and the third suggests that happy mood enhances problem solving. This is likely the result of neuro-supportive brain chemicals released whilst in a good mood.
