This is the full disk Q-211 from 1945 or 46 (likely from 1945) .I do find it important to hear the records in there entirety because it gives you a better idea of what the bands were playing at that time (clunkers and all) The bands on transcription recordings had a lot more freedom to the play songs they wanted without a studio producer telling them what to record for better record sales..These transcriptions were not sold to the public.

Another thing to consider about 1940s transcription records is they were recorded during a period when shellac 78 RPM were the norm .But most transcription disc are vinyl, long before LPs (albums) were made .Most of these disc are 16" so they won't play on most turntables.Speed wise most (not all) are 33 1/3 RPM and play about 15 minutes per side.The condition is always an issue.Even when they may look nice (most don't),they still were likely played on "heavy" tracking turntables that were designed to play mostly 78s. All that being said they can sound really good,it just takes some time to get them to sound right without sucking all the life out of the music by over filtering them,like many CDs are.I would rather leave some noise/hiss/and little clicks in and have the music sound good.
